Tech Lunches Draw Crowds!

Want to go to Greenland during lunch?

Middle and Upper School students have been visiting the Arctic and other destinations (Roman Colosseum, anyone?) during “Tech Lunches” in the Media Tech Lab (MTL) this semester. They simply don one of our 24 Meta Quest 2 VR headsets, choose a destination, and away they go!

In addition to traveling the VR world, students can draw using Procreate on the iPads, play video games on one of five PlayStations or Nintendo Switches, compose music with Garage Band, or fly one of eight indoor drones.

“The Tech Lunches were designed with support from the division heads to promote student wellness,” says K-12 Lead Technology Integrationist Albert Park, who adds that the events “have been popular and fun.”
