The Middle School provides a guided and exciting transition from childhood to young adulthood in a welcoming environment where identity development and perspective-taking are the hallmarks of the academic program. Over three years, through project-based learning and interdisciplinary units, students deepen their understanding of how the world shapes individuals and individuals shape the world. Along the way, they experience gradual increases in personal responsibility and are encouraged to try new things and challenge themselves as learners, performers, and teammates. A culture of curiosity and collaboration nurtures respect and inclusion, which ultimately supports learning.
