Join our energizing after-school “Maths Bonanza” class with games, manipulatives, and hands-on creations that will help build math skills and motivate participants to experience the beauty of math in our world.
This inspired course will shed light on the origins of how this art form was created. It will also introduce students to various Graffiti artists and provide them with a basic understanding of the various lettering styles, tags, stenciling, and street art concepts.
This class, taught by a black belt in the art, includes meditation, stretching, and basic Tae-Kwon-Do techniques. The students will learn self-control, focus, and the importance of self-discipline, and they will gain self-confidence.
Please note this class is for our third through fifth grade students only. Younger students may enroll in the Friday session.

This program will cover many of the games and activities that we study in physical education. We will play a variety of sports while working on skill development, sportsmanship, and team work. This program is designed for the children to have lots of FUN and find success at every turn.
This fun upbeat dance class introduces students to various dance styles. Students will learn the history and origin of each dance style they are introduced to. Class starts with a warm-up focusing on technique, strength, and flexibility followed by a fun upbeat dance routine and educational games.
As schools move further into the digital age, the ability to operate a keyboard efficiently has never been more important. In this enrichment course for upper elementary students, the development of good keyboarding form and techniques will be emphasized. Additionally, students will be guided through important study skills like making flash cards, note-taking, active listening and time management. These FUNdamentals taught in a caring and supportive environment will build student confidence and positive self-esteem.
Learn to hand sew and embroider with Miss Shannon's Sewing School. All projects teach different sewing skills beginning with learning how to sew on a button. All materials, supplies, and sewing kits are included.

Second and third graders will find some cozy spots around campus where we will explore the worlds of Billy Miller, Stella Diaz, Winslow, Tag the Owl, Skyla the Squirrel, Tola, and Mac the Kid Spy. Do not fear if you have read these books already, there are many more books to discover! Our gatherings with friends may involve picnics, scavenger hunts, guest speakers, arts & crafts, cooking, and reading on the nature trail! Mrs. Levitt can’t wait for all bookworms to jump in!

Jazz funk is an expressive and innovative form of dance that combines hip hop grooves with jazz technique. Students will learn fast paced combinations of movement while finding their own personal style. Class will begin with a warm up focusing on technique, strength and flexibility followed by a center floor combo.
Designed for our younger athletes and sports fans, Junior Hoops Rebel will teach players fundamental basketball skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball handling, while focusing on teamwork and sportsmanship.

This class is a fun-filled introduction into the world of woodworking, specifically designed for beginners. Students will use fine motor skills to forge a strong connection between the hands and the mind. They are encouraged to try new ideas, exercise their imagination and creativity, and are allowed to make mistakes in a safe environment. With the guidance of an experienced artist/woodworker, children learn how to use tools safely, effectively, and (ultimately) independently. Students will have the opportunity to build a number of take-home projects that increase in complexity as they progress through their session.

Join Ms. Priolo for a relaxing afternoon of yoga and mindfulness. Yoga and mindfulness practices have a positive effect on kids and learning. Yoga has been shown to enhance focus, concentration, comprehension, and memory. Poses help improve posture, balance, coordination, and body awareness. Yoga can also help create an atmosphere of confidence, enthusiasm, and non-competitiveness where everyone finds success, as well as providing opportunities for reflection, patience, and insight, reducing impulsivity, and supporting social and emotional learning.
Acting exposes students to characterization, plot structure, ensemble acting, creativity, the art of listening and silence, and following directions all through the use of various theatre games. Come join the fun!
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle is not only for Earth Day! Join us for this fun spin on our beloved Art Rebel class. This session students will create new and unique art pieces by using recycled and repurposed materials.
Third through fifth grade students will design and build vessels and sculptures from clay inspired by real and imaginary animals. Clay will be glazed and fired in a kiln off-site and all artwork will be wrapped and returned to the students at the end of the session. Please note that the 1:30 section is for 3rd-5th graders only. with this advanced basketball program. Students will focus on dribbling, shooting, and ball handling skills. This program is ideal for those interested in playing competitively.
Part math, part science, and part art, this STEAM class has it all! Using assorted architectural & bridge building model sets, this class teaches basic drafting, scale, symmetry, proportion, and geometry. Students will build iconic models and learn about famous architects as they explore their creativity!

Students will learn a brand new routine every few weeks to work on performance skills and retaining choreography.

This program will focus on the skills, drills, and thrills of games like Kickball, Tee Ball, and Baseball. The children will be in a safe and fun environment so that they can comfortably learn new games. We will work to develop hand-eye coordination, and introduce and review throwing and catching mechanics, base running skills, and batting fundamentals. The children will learn teamwork, cooperation, problem-solving, and engage in mini games. We will consistently reinforce having fun, trying your best, and being kind and respectful.

Buckley Griffin wants you to join him and Mrs. Levitt, aka Mrs. Possum, each Friday afternoon under the canopy of coast live oak trees and chaparral in the Santa Monica Mountains on our famed nature trail to explore, observe, play, sketch, meditate, and enjoy the natural beauty right in our school canyon. Students will each receive their own nature toolkit with materials chosen to enhance their experience. Buckley Griffin and Mrs. Levitt cannot wait to explore with you!
