Academic Growth and Joyful Learning

Whether learning to read, analyzing a first text, or presenting a paper in high school, Buckley calls its students to develop confidence, courage, and perseverance. At our kindergarten through twelfth grade school, we make learning exhilarating. In classrooms, on the playground, and at assemblies, on the athletic field, on stage, or in an art studio, your child will take risks and ask questions that are fundamental to academic growth and deep, joyful learning. To see this for yourself, visit Buckley during one of our Open House events in the fall or take a private Lower School tour with a current Buckley parent.

Buckley’s Lower School uses an active, developmental approach to education that engages your child and develops their love of learning, while allowing our teachers to adapt to individual learning styles. Play and creativity infuse our program where children are engaged, hands-on learners.

Middle School is a time of great personal, social, and academic change for your child. That’s why Buckley has a unique transitional program for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. An experiential learning approach captures all students’ attention and teaches them to question thoughtfully and think critically.

Our Upper School empowers your high school student to find his or her own voice, think critically and engage creatively, and develop a worldview. With Buckley's grounding in the liberal arts, including many advanced placement classes and honors courses, our graduates are well prepared for their next academic challenge.

We invite you to visit Buckley. While we’ve always been proud of our picturesque campus and rigorous academic program, we have even more to be excited about now. With a new Middle and Upper School library and campus Center for Community and the Arts completed, as well as many other facilities upgrades, the Buckley experience is better than ever.

Warm regards,
