Noises Off is one of the dizziest, funniest, backstage farces ever written. It lifts the curtain on a manic menagerie of itinerant actors as they stumble their way through rehearsals to a shambolic first night and a final disastrous performance of a flop called Nothing's On.
It's a world of slamming doors, missing sardines, actors glued to props, miscues, misdirections, and misunderstandings. On and off-stage intrigue are foiled by bunglers and burglars, while the players backstage exhibit their best follies and worst foibles spinning the play toward a hysterical climax.
