Buckley Celebrates Veterans Day

Lower, Middle, and Upper School students honored Veterans Day this week.
In the Lower School, students wrote letters of support and appreciation to the men and women of the armed forces for Operation Gratitude.
 
Middle and Upper School students attended an assembly featuring Buckley community members who have served in the military, including Lieutenant Commander Jimmy Battista, Lieutenant Colonel Peter Wagner, Personnel Management Specialist Jaki Wagner, and Private First Class Robert Fett. Student Alyssa W. opened the assembly by acknowledging the guests in attendance and remarking on the 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day. She was followed by alum Eric Murray ’11, U.S. Army 1st Lt. with the 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command, and Jimmy Battista, who spoke about their service. The assembly concluded with Taps, performed by Tom Marino.
