Tonight is the opening night of MAMMA MIA!, the Department of Drama and Dance's fall musical.
MAMMA MIA! is a celebration of mothers and daughters, old friends, and new-found family. Over the course of 24 chaotic, magical hours, new love blooms and old romances are rekindled on a lush island full of possibilities. As wedding preparations commence on an idyllic Greek island, a young bride-to-be schemes to discover the identity of her father, inviting three men from her mother’s past to the festivities. Through the eternally catchy score of ABBA chart-toppers, this feel-good show crescendos into an exhilarating finale celebration you simply won’t be able to resist!
MAMMA MIA! will run from November 8-10 at 6:30 p.m. and November 10 at 1:30 p.m. in the CCA. Tickets are $10 online and $15 at the door, CASH ONLY. You can purchase tickets at tickets.buckley.org and email email@example.com with any questions. Please note that this production contains theatrical haze, strobe lighting, and loud music, and is rated PG for mature themes.
Once again, Buckley’s Middle and Upper School students participated in a rousing Spirit Week! Congratulations to our eighth and twelfth graders for winning the Middle and Upper Spirit Week Competitions.
One of our very own world changers, Kaylen M. ’19, was honored by the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Affiliate Award Committee as an NCWIT Los Angeles Honorable Mention Award Winner for Aspirations in Computing.
