Sophomore Scores in Top 3% of Math Competition and Invited to the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO)
In November 2022, sophomore Lauren P. completed the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) 12, scoring in the top 2.5% of the nation and moving on to the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) competition, described by the Mathematical Association of America as a “15 question, 3-hour examination in which each answer is an integer number from 0 to 999.”
Next up for Lauren? The U.S. Olympiad, a six-question, two-day, nine-hour examination where only the top-scoring AMC 12 participants are invited to participate. Congratulations, Lauren!
