November DEI Symposium: FITE Club Talks Women's Rights and Iran
In November, student leaders of FITE Club (Feminists Insisting on Total Equality) collaborated with Diversity Club and the DEI Office to develop a symposium focused on women’s rights around the world and what is happening in Iran.
Two Iranian guest speakers, Firoozeh Faye Nia and Buckley parent Fahi Hallin, shared personal stories to educate students about what is happening across the world and explored the parallels of challenges faced by women in different countries.
Kudos to our student leaders for continuing to develop programs that educate and discuss current events!
Upper School students of Spanish 3 Honors, Spanish 4 Honors, and AP Spanish attended the dress rehearsal of the opera, El último sueño de Frida y Diego, and stopped for lunch at the Pueblo de Los Angeles on Olvera Street.
