At the start of the new semester, Lower School students prepared for Student Council elections by writing their speeches and addressing why they are running for council.
“Lower School Student Council is important because it gives students an opportunity to be role models for younger students and think creatively about ways that we can improve the Lower School,” said Lower School Student Council co-advisor Riley McQueen.

“[As students step into their role in student council] they should consider themselves leaders of the Lower School and should go out of their way to demonstrate good citizenship,” said Christine Terry, Lower School Student Council co-advisor.
Upper School students of Spanish 3 Honors, Spanish 4 Honors, and AP Spanish attended the dress rehearsal of the opera, El último sueño de Frida y Diego, and stopped for lunch at the Pueblo de Los Angeles on Olvera Street.
