Madeleine F. is MSNBC Hero of the Week
Eighth grader Madeleine F. has been busily stitching all summer and made great progress on her “Covid Quilt” she started last year as Global Studies project.
Madeleine's project was recently covered in Ms. Magazineand last Saturday, Madeleine was named Hero of the Week on MSNBC -- congratulations, Madeleine, on the incredible honor!
The quilt honors those lost to the pandemic and is headed to the National Mall for display once completed. If you know someone who died from Covid-19 or can spread the word about the quilt, please check out covidquilt2020.com or @CovidQuilt2020 on Instagram for details on how to participate.
