This article, as well as feedback from Middle and Upper School students, has informed our remote learning strategy. Based on this research and feedback, may see faculty vary the amount of synchronous and asynchronous learning so students are less drained by day’s end. Asynchronous learning offers students the chance to practice skills, read, write, design, create and reflect. Synchronous learning offers students the important sense of connection with their teachers and with each other. As a result, since spring break, we’ve been gradually introducing Zoom meetings for Lower School students. We began with homeroom teachers; you’ll see more of specialists in the weeks to come.
Upper School students of Spanish 3 Honors, Spanish 4 Honors, and AP Spanish attended the dress rehearsal of the opera, El último sueño de Frida y Diego, and stopped for lunch at the Pueblo de Los Angeles on Olvera Street.
