Buckley Students Receive "Scores Perfectus"

Buckley outperformed the national average by a longshot in this year’s National Latin Exam, with five students earning perfect scores!
These 100-percenters include seventh graders Tucker C. and Nick F., eighth grade student Vivienne H.-F., and ninth graders Emma D., and Katie S.

“Typically only one percent of students nationally earn a perfect score, and 13 percent of Buckley students did,” says Middle/Upper School Latin teacher Paul Minden of the slew of perfect scores, adding that, “This is absolutely unheard of. He went on to add that, “All of our students did well, many at a Gold Medal/Summa cum Laude level. We're proud of them all.”

The National Latin Exam primarily tests the ability to translate, but also assesses the knowledge of culture, spoken Latin, geography, mythology, and history.
