The Getty Fire has affected many people in the Buckley community and in the communities around us.
To help those in need, volunteers from the Buckley Parents’ Association got in contact with a nearby crisis center and the Red Cross to feed folks in shelters in Westwood, Palisades, and EOC. Buckley volunteers also drove extra food to fire stations and gave it to firefighters.
“We mobilized a good group,” said PA President Nicholas D’Ambra. “We brought a lot of food, water, coffee, and positive energy at 5:30 a.m. today. I’m proud, as always, to be a part of such a giving community.”
In total, Buckley and Freshlunches, our lunch provider, donated approximately 150 meals to the cause. To see news coverage, click here.
