The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is hosting its fall symposia on Monday, October 7 and Tuesday, October 8.
Students, along with faculty sponsors and guest panelists, present Fall Symposia featuring sessions on topics including Climate Justice; Privilege and its Implications at Buckley; Which Box Do I Check: Middle Eastern Identity; social stratification and income inequality; community conversations on law enforcement; the power of words-a middle school conversation; and global citizenship and Gen Z. Symposia provides an opportunity for our community to be in conversation around issues that impact both society and the Buckley community. As a learning community, teachers attend sessions with their classes and are encouraged to continue the discussion in classrooms and advisories.
Upper School students of Spanish 3 Honors, Spanish 4 Honors, and AP Spanish attended the dress rehearsal of the opera, El último sueño de Frida y Diego, and stopped for lunch at the Pueblo de Los Angeles on Olvera Street.
