Today, we celebrated 87 amazing years of The Buckley School and Dr. Buckley's 119th birthday!
Every year at Founder’s Day, we honor the history of The Buckley School and the incredible legacy of Dr. Isabelle Buckley. Dr. Buckley founded her school in a private home in 1933 and expanded to other locations throughout the Valley before consolidating all three divisions at its current location in 1965.
In celebration, students, faculty, and staff showed their school spirit support by wearing red, and participated in the annual K-12 parade and assembly. We loved celebrating with alumni, former faculty and staff, and our current Buckley community at the Founder’s Day. Thanks to everyone who was able to make it!
Upper School students of Spanish 3 Honors, Spanish 4 Honors, and AP Spanish attended the dress rehearsal of the opera, El último sueño de Frida y Diego, and stopped for lunch at the Pueblo de Los Angeles on Olvera Street.
