Banned Books Week

Stephanie Kaczkiewicz
It's Banned Books Week!
Banned Books Week, sponsored by the American Library Association, is an important opportunity for Buckley to advocate for intellectual freedom, personal autonomy and choice, and for the value of intellectual resources. We do it to remind our students that some of the books they're familiar with are limited or forbidden in other places in the country, and around the world. For example, it was just this year that Harry Potter was banned in a Catholic school in Tennessee. So, we celebrate the freedom to read every year!
