Buckley Athletics Spring Season Round-Up

Congratulations to our spring season athletes!
High School Spring Season
  • Swimming | The swim team had an incredible season, placing second overall in their first year swimming in the Prep League. Everyone swam a personal best time and broke four school records in the process, including: the 200 Freestyle, the 500 Freestyle, the 200 Medley Relay, and the 400 Freestyle Relay. Freshman Manning H. became the first Buckley swimmer in history to qualify with an automatic time for the CIF state competition in the 500 Freestyle. Manning won MVP in the Prep League after shattering his personal best record and breaking a 19-year-old league record of 4:39:42 in the 500 Freestyle. Swimmers Bristol B., Niko L., Nathaniel F., and Manning H. broke the 2017 Buckley record for the 400 Freestyle with a time of 3.21.06.
  • Golf | The golf team participated in the CIF regional tournament after students Akira F. and Daniel S. qualified. The team ended their season as the Liberty Leagues champions.
  • Tennis | The tennis team won second place in the Liberty League and made it to the first round of CIF.
  • Baseball | The baseball team went undefeated in league play to become the Liberty Leagues Champions. They played in the first round of CIF.
