Lower School Transforms CCA into Winter Wonderland, Spreading Holiday Cheer at Annual Winter Concerts!
After hours and hours of rehearsals, our Lower School students wowed us at their annual winter concert!
Gathering together in the CCA, the fourth and fifth grade kicked off the concerts on a high note with classics such as “Jingle Bells,” “Dreidel,” a musical medley of “Mamma Mia,” “Tomorrow,” “A Million Dreams,” and more!
Kindergarten and first grade took center stage to perform everything from “Light the Candles All Around the World” to “What Does Chanukah Mean to Me” -- and more! To end their performances, the students performed all together, encouraging the audience to sing along to “Winter Fantasy!”
Students in the second and third grade helped us end the day with lots of energy! They joyously sang everything from a Chinese New Year medley to “Wonderful Christmas Time” and so much more!
Instead of taking a final, the Upper School Tipping Points class stepped outside of the classroom to plant a generational indigenous garden – different from a simply native garden in that it mimics the planting practices of indigenous people, approaching the earth with care and respect.
With the help of everyone from the community, we’ve received more than 900 donations to the annual Toy Drive! Before we headed into winter break, students from the Lower and Upper School Student Council delivered the items to the Foster Children’s Resource Center.
