Please note: This is a 2-week camp (June 15-June 26).
Consider this your golden ticket! The delicious adventures of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl’s fantastical tale! Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Jr. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his candy bars. Whoever finds these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka Factory (as well as a lifetime supply of candy). One of the winners is young Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka’s rules in the factory - or suffer the consequences!
Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Jr. has many featured and ensemble roles, including the five contest winners and singing and dancing Oompa Loompas! All roles are open to all students, regardless of gender.
During this two-week program students will put together the scenes, songs, dances, and sets of this wonderful tale, culminating in a final performance for friends and family on the last day of camp!
