Our wildly popular Lower School Afterschool Program provides a time for students to be with their friends and explore an academic, athletic, or social interest outside of the school day. Small class sizes allow for individual growth, unique challenges, and meaningful accomplishments.
Something for Everyone!
Several of Buckley's Afterschool Program classes are held each day, Monday through Friday. Parents and students can choose from classes of pure fun, physical activity, or skill-building. Some classes might not be offered every semester.

- Since these programs take place after the completion of the regular school day, bus transportation is not available. We encourage families to form carpools, if possible.
- The number of classes held in afterschool session determines instruction fees.
- A student is enrolled in order of receipt of the application. Confirmation of enrollment will be sent via email. If a selection is closed, a student will be automatically placed on a waiting list in order of registration. In case a vacancy occurs during the session, the waiting list is honored. Classes are subject to cancellation if under-enrolled.
- Teachers base their curriculum materials upon initial enrollment, therefore afterschool program purchases are non-refundable.
- Students may request to switch to another class within the same session after attending the first class meeting and before the second class meeting. All requests must be submitted in writing and approved by the program manager. No class changes will be allowed after the second class meeting.
Extended Care
We also offer an extended day from the conclusion of afterschool programs at 4:30 until 6:00 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to refresh with an allergen-free snack, engage in supervised playtime, enjoy a good book, or work on completing school assignments. Participants must sign up for afterschool classes for each day of the week that they enroll in the extended day program. Students enrolled in the extended day program shall be picked up no later than 6:00 p.m.
