We cannot wait to welcome our students back to campus this year. Last spring and this summer we have been reminded of the critical importance of in-person relationships -- how they fuel productivity and well-being.
That's why our plan for the fall is to have 100% of our students on campus 100% of the time.
We will implement the following protocols that will be evaluated by our Covid-19 Task Force on an ongoing basis. As of now, these include:
  • Baseline testing for all unvaccinated students and employees K-12 on Thursday, August 19 and Saturday, August 21 on the Buckley campus. You will receive a link to register for your drive-through testing appointment soon in a separate email. Any student may also go to a number of local testing sites and submit PCR results by Friday, August 20.
  • Routine testing of students K-12 conducted at school or, if a family prefers, on weekends.
  • Mask-wearing, daily health screening, contact tracing, physical distancing when possible, air filtration, enforcement of hand-washing and hand-sanitizing, and other cleaning procedures.
Look out for more detailed information about daily health protocols closer to the start of school. This information will reflect the most up-to-date guidance from LADPH for K-12 schools.

While we are not requiring students to be vaccinated, we are asking that anyone with proof of vaccination share it with our Health Office. Having this documentation will assist us in quarantine protocols in the event of an exposure, and facilitate our record-keeping when the vaccine becomes mandatory for all age-eligible students.
