What are your interests? What are you passionate about? How do you get involved?
Today Upper School students perused the many clubs and organizations that came out for this year's Clubfest. Tables with sign up sheets, give-aways, and flyers lined the Ginko Grove as students dove headfirst into an already-beloved interest, or tested the waters and signed up for something new.
The clubs represented offered students the chance to engage in a wide range of interests, hobbies, and causes. From Magic Gathering to Cancer Awareness Club, there was no limit to the amount of clubs a student could sign up for.
Where did all these clubs come from? Any Upper School student is invited to start their own club. First they must propose their idea to Upper School dean of students, George Russo, and from there they will either be approved or asked to make some adjustments. New clubs arise every year, while other organizations have proven to be tried and true.
Here's a list of all the different clubs and organizations Upper School students can be involved in at Buckley:
Upper School students of Spanish 3 Honors, Spanish 4 Honors, and AP Spanish attended the dress rehearsal of the opera, El último sueño de Frida y Diego, and stopped for lunch at the Pueblo de Los Angeles on Olvera Street.
