On Wednesday, June 13, demolition of the Middle Upper School building that housed classrooms 107-114 began as one giant backhoe took the first swipe of many, tearing out a large chunk of the red tiled roof. Staff watched from the sidelines as the massive yellow CAT crushed its way through the site, clearing a path towards the future by making space for the new Science and Mathematics Building.
In less than 48 hours, the demolition was complete and crews began working to remove the massive pile of rubble. By the time summer school opened on Monday the space was clear. Simultaneously, classes in the hillside building were prepped for the build out of the new robotics classroom.
With school just having ended just, and the Academic and Performing Arts building nearing the finish line, we are already well on the way to constructing the second building in our Campus Enhancement Plan.
