Gifts of Cash

Contributions made by check, cash or credit card are tax deductible in the year the donation is given. Please make checks payable to The Buckley School. To make a donation with your credit card, you can use our online donation form or contact Merria Iaccino at (818) 461-6705 or email miaccino@buckley.org. We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express.

Gifts of Securities

It is becoming more common for donors to make gifts of securities. If the security has appreciated greatly in value, you avoid capital gains taxes by gifting the stock directly to the school. We recommend that donors consult their financial advisor before making any final decision. Make a Pledge

You may make a pledge to the Annual Fund or other area by contacting Lindsay Newlove at (818) 461-6747 or emailing lnewlove@buckley.org. Pledges can be satisfied through a single contribution or in multiple payments, at a time that is convenient for you. If your gift is to The Annual Fund, all final payments are due no later than April 30 in the school year your gift was pledged.

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. If you work for a company that matches gifts, you can double or triple the value of your contribution! Contact your Human Resources Department for eligibility information and to obtain a matching gift form, and follow your employer's matching gift procedures.

Ways to Shop & Support Buckley

You can support Buckley- at no extra cost to you - by:

• Shopping for groceries at Ralphs, Vons, Pavilions & Safeway (up to 4% contribution)
• Eating at participating eScrip Dining restaurants (up to 5% contribution)
• Shopping at Westfield Fashion Square (school can earn up to $2,500)
• Shopping online through a school support website (up to 60%, average 2 -15% contribution)
• Using your Target Card or Target Visa (.5% - 1% contribution)
• Shopping at Office Depot (5% contribution)

Grocery cards: Register once, and then renew each fall. (You will still earn your personal rewards from these programs, in addition to benefiting Buckley.) NOW IS THE TIME TO REGISTER OR RENEW! Ralphs contributions ended September 1 unless you have re-registered;

Dining: After you sign up at www.eScrip.com, register your credit cards on their website. Then, every time you eat at a participating restaurant, Buckley will be automatically credited with a donation. There are over150 restaurants within a 10-mile radius of Buckley and thousands more nationwide!

Shopping at Fashion Square: The 2012 Earning 4 Learning Program at Westfield Fashion Square began November 1 and runs through April 30. Shop and dine, and then log your receipts with the concierge (or leave them in the specially marked PA folder near Fran’s desk in the MUS office to be logged for you). You can also earn points by signing up for Earning 4 Learning and Westfield emails. Visit http://www.shoppingpartnership.com/points/westfieldfashionsquare.htm for full details.

Shopping online:Visit www.eScrip.com,and shop through their "online mall." You will receive the same discounts and promotions as if you went to each store’swebsite directly. www.iGive.com works like eScrip, and you can also earn $ for Buckley just by doing web searches through the site.
Be sure to try both sites, as they offer many different companies. Choose from hundreds of shopping and travel sites, including Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, Bloomingdale’s, drugstore.com, Gap, iTunes, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Office Depot, Saks, Sephora, Staples, Target, Expedia and hotels.com.

Target: If you have a Target REDcard(credit, debit or Visa), register Buckley to earn on your in-store and online shopping. Go to https://www-secure.target.com/redcard/tcoe/home, click enroll now, and enter Buckley or the School ID# 3385.

Office Depot: Simply provide Buckley’s ID number (70015218) when checking out in-store or online and our school earns 5% on the purchase of qualifying student school items. If you don’t have the number with you, the clerk will look it up. If you have recent receipts, take them in and ask for Buckley to earn credit on those too.

Gifts in Kind

Gift In Kind Donations are tangible goods and services donated to the school for which the donor can receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of the item. Before accepting Gifts In Kind, the appropriate school department should be contacted by the donor to determine our ability to use the specific item. Common Gifts In Kind are computers, books and laboratory equipment.

To ensure proper acknowledgment and a receipt to be used for tax purposes, please download and complete the Gifts In Kind form and send to Merria Iaccino (miaccino@buckley.org or fax 818-461-6714).
